Reunion Weekend - Additional Events PHS Football Game | Golf | Pre-Event Get-togethers | Commemorative Jerseys Response to our 50th reunion event has been very good with many folks traveling from out of state locations. Based on our recent survey, some additional events during the weekend are planned so there is more opportunity for PHS 1960 grads to reconnect and get caught up with each other. Update!!!! - Friday Evening - PHS Football Game and Dinner PHS plays Burbank at 7:00pm in a home game on the current campus (2925 E. Sierra Madre Blvd). To reserve a block of seats for the game as well for making dinner plans, we need a head count of those planning to attend. We pay at the gate. If you plan to go to the game and/or dinner please send an Email with names of the attendees by October 25 to: PHS60Reunion@gmail.com PHS Athletic Director, Tony Brooks, would like to honor us by introducing us on the field before the game starts and wants us there by 6:15pm. They will have reserved parking for us in a lot just adjacent to the stadium on the North side - CLICK HERE for parking and stadium map. As of 10/27, 35 alums and guests plan to attend the game, these include: Carroll Adams, Dick and Karen (Forsberg) Benke, Sharon (Oliver), Biedebach, Ted Boothroyd, Walter Butler, Mike Collins, Virginia DeBry, Richard Evans, Marlyn (Hanson) and Ed Evans, Judy (Davis) Favorito, Norman Gladu and Janet Cook, Joyce Lyon-Grohmann and William Grohmann, Thor and Karen Hanson, Hardy Hayes, Larry and Gerene Jackson, Susan (Hubley) Johnson, Judy (Vogel) Jones, Ingrid Magnuson, Nancy (Evans) and Jerry Martin, Kari Mohn, Paul and Linda Muehlberger, Barbara (McWilliams) Niswander, Sheri Rice, Chuck and Marie Ryerson and Louise (Carlson) Yount. The pre-game dinner will be held at the Barn BurnerTexas Barbeque restaurant (626-403-7427) starting at 4 pm. Probably socialize from 4-4:30pm, then order dinner and expect to leave for the game around 5:50pm. CLICK HERE to view the menu. For directions from the restaurant to the PHS Stadium - CLICK HERE Update!!!!! - Saturday Morning - Golf Because of a tournament that was recently set up at the Eaton Canyon Golf course, we have had to change our venue to the nearby Altadena Golf Course (1456 E. Mendocino, Altadena, 626-797-3821) - a similar 9 hole layout. Please let us know by October 22 if you want to play or have any questions to: PHS60Reunion@gmail.com We have tee times reserved for 8:30 and 8:35am. Let's arrive around 8:00 am to get re-acquainted and setup. So far, six players have signed up: Chuck Ryerson, Ted Boothroyd, Susan (Gregg) Adams, Thor Hanson. Dick Benke and Brian Moody Saturday Afternoon - Pre-Celebration Get-Togethers The main Reunion event starts at 6 pm at the Westin. For those wish to arrive earlier there will be an informal gathering in the Westin Hotel lounge (first floor near the registration desk) starting around 2:00 pm. Just stop by and re-introduce yourself to old friends. The evening will go by quickly so this will provide more time to see folks and "re-connect". Also, this is an opportunity for folks to have "mini-reunions" - e.g. those that went to one of the three junior highs or elementary schools prior to PHS. The San Rafael Elementary School group already has plans for a "mini-reunion" in the afternoon at the Westin in a suite at the hotel. If you want to organize a "mini reunion" contact classmates that are attending the Reunion Celebration* and encourage them to arrive early and meet in the Hotel lounge or other designated location. In addition to the lounge there is a restaurant with outdoor tables on the first floor that would make a good meeting place.
